Harry Styles - Love On Tour

HARRY'S VIRTUAL HOUSE

Using WebAR, exclusive experiences can be created that allow users to unlock and view objects that interact with the environment. After scanning a specific target, the system is able to pinpoint a fan's location at the venue and unlock a limited, themed experience based on their orientation to the stage or outside of the venue. Similar to one-night only or venue-specific merchandise, the experiences can vary based on the night or location giving users exclusive content dependent on their city.

This concept was developed in consideration of Harry Styles' Harry House tour, Love On Tour. Location-based projects unlock immersive activations tied to specific geographic locations and venues, enhancing real-world spaces with exclusive digital content to engage different communities. The idea of this concept was to unlock exclusive digital experiences related to each track on the album; highlighting a different track at each venue. The mockup showcases the title 'Music For a Sushi Restaurant,' bringing in creatives from the music video and other marketing materials. In addition to viewing a World AR activation, fans would also have access to venue-specific virtual fashion. Along with merch, this could include digital designs of the fashion worn by Harry himself. Fans would be able to try on the 3D outfits, take photos/videos and share to their network. A virtual community forum "board" could also be established where fans could pin their AR-enhanced media to display to other fans around the venue – think an exclusive, virtual location-based Pinterest board for inspiration and community. With this type of experience, different interactive elements could be implemented to a full tour; creating different experiences for each stop building fan engagement.

*Lightship Visual Positioning System (VPS) makes it possible to determine a user’s position and orientation in relation to a scanned 3D object at real-world locations. Lightship has VPS-activated public, pre-scanned geo points referred to as Wayspots. Additional private VPS scans can be produced using the Wayfarer app to scan different coverage areas. With this technology, we are able to occlude various 3D real-world objects, such as buildings and statues, and create more interactive experiences.
