Beyoncé – Cowboy Carter

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album has been a powerful source of inspiration for my creative work, leading me to explore its visual language and storytelling across multiple mediums. From augmented reality world effects and 3D try-on filters to tour-inspired prints and immersive experience concepts, my work reimagines how fans can engage with the album beyond music. I’ve designed a pre-show carnival concept that transforms stadium lots into a full-scale rodeo experience, as well as an animated promo video featuring motion graphics and cohesive design elements that align with the tour’s existing visual identity. This collection of work reflects my passion for blending creative technology, design, and storytelling, bringing the spirit of Cowboy Carter to life in new and engaging ways.

Following her initial teaser trailer for Cowboy Carter, I developed an augmented reality concept on TikTok. This AR effect recreates the billboard featured in the trailer, allowing users to place a realistic replica of the billboard anywhere in their environment. With this AR effect, users can experience the excitement of seeing Beyoncé’s billboard in their own surroundings. Imagine this concept implemented at different geo-locations around the world, giving people the opportunity to spot and take a photo with a digital replica of Beyoncé’s act ii billboard.
At the end of the year, building on the excitement of Beyoncé’s Beyoncé Bowl performance on Christmas Day, I created two 3D try-on effects that allowed fans to embody the Cowboy Carter aesthetic in a festive way. “Cowboy Christmas” featured three holiday-themed cowboy hats, letting users switch between designs inspired by the season, available on TikTok, Snap, and Instagram. For “Cowboy New Year,” I designed three celebratory New Year’s hats, giving users an interactive way to ring in 2025, exclusive to TikTok. These effects combined digital fashion and AR technology, offering fans a dynamic and engaging way to participate in the excitement surrounding Beyoncé’s performance.
Expanding on the world of Cowboy Carter, I designed two immersive concepts for the tour—a promo video and a pre-show carnival experience—both rooted in the Chitlin’ Circuit aesthetic and Beyoncé’s existing tour branding. The promo video features stadium callout graphics, era-specific fonts, and signature visuals like the Cowboy Carter truck and shotgun rider eagle, staying true to the tour’s distinct visual identity. Each city is spotlighted with a custom WANTED poster, an idea that evolved into a potential exclusive merch concept—limited-edition city-specific posters available only at each tour stop, turning them into collectible keepsakes for fans. The pre-show carnival concept transforms stadium lots into a Cowboy Carter fairground, featuring rides, games, brand activations, and Cowboy Carter-themed experiences leading up to the show. This activation deepens fan engagement, transforming each multi-day tour stop into an interactive experience.
