For the Prime Video release of season one of The Outlaws, I developed an engaging Instagram filter that reflected the show’s witty and thrilling essence. A crime comedy, The Outlaws is a BBC show that follows seven strangers that are brought together to complete their community service hours.

For the U.S. premiere of The Outlaws, I was contracted to create a filter for Instagram. As a comedy thriller, this show has witty writing and we wanted to emphasize that in the filter for users to join in on the fun. The filter features two random generators to show a combination of acts that made you an outlaw. When the screen is tapped, a card will show above the users' head. The randomizer first establishes their act, followed by a second randomizer that displays the location of this act. Once identified, a virtual community service vest appears on the user, humorously inducting them into the show’s narrative as an "outlaw."

This filter utilized Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for design, and Meta Spark for development, aiming to increase audience interaction and excitement around the show's debut. The interactive element was designed to draw users into the show's world, offering a fun and immersive way to engage with the storyline before watching the series. This was not just a promotional tool but an extension of the show’s theme, inviting users to momentarily step into the shoes of the characters.
